The South Pacific: A Changing Face

Abstract

It is increasingly being acknowledged that the South Pacific countries, i.e. the countries which comprise the South Pacific Forum, have become an important factor in Asia-Pacific politics. One of the most substantial elements in present South Pacific policies is the establishment of a Nuclear Free Zone in the whole area.
